Services & Rates

Design Lighting and Train Lighting Crew for High School Plays and Musicals

Includes:

Attending Two Production Meetings
Observing Two Run-Throughs
Designing the Light Plot
Hang & Focus (training lighting crew, as needed)
Mentoring Student Lighting Designer (as applicable)
Train Stage Manager in Cue Calling Protocol
Two Tech Rehearsals and Final Dress
Attending Opening Night

School must provide at least 3 student crew members for hang and focus. One lightboard operator, one stage manager, and follow spot operators (as applicable) are needed for rehearsals and performances. Crew must be the same for all rehearsals and performances.

School is responsible for providing all equipment and supplies (such as gels) as stipulated by the lighting designer.

Flat Rate Fee: $600 per show

Design Lighting for Dance Schools and Theatre Companies

As the needs of dance schools and theatre companies vary, services are charged at an hourly rate. Services and requirements are similar to those listed above for school productions.

Hourly Rate: $30.00/hr

The Light Lady can provide a proficient, dedicated, skilled Teen Techie lighting crew if you need crew for your production.

Stage Lighting In-Service Session for Teachers

3 Hours

How Your Theatre System Works
Basic Lighting Design Theory
Instruction on How to Hang and Focus Lights
How Students (your lighting designer and stage manager) should Record and Call Cues

Someone knowledgeable about how to operate your light board must be present.

Flat Rate Fee: $200

One-on-One or Small Group Training and Mentoring

The perfect session for your light crew members and student lighting designer.

Hourly Rate: $30.00/hr

Career Consultation

30 minute individual consultation and print-out of options for students interested in pursuing a career in stage lighting design, IATSE union jobs, TV or film lighting, architectural lighting.

Flat Rate Fee: $45

Theatre Building Consultation

System design recommendation for a new theatre.
Instrument and equipment purchase for new, remodel, or existing theatre.
Organize your stock and storage of lighting equipment and supplies.
Create an inventory of your lighting equipment.
Help you develop safety procedures and policies.

Hourly Rate: $30.00/hr

Teen Techies

Stage lighting crew for your play, musical, dance recital, or other performance.

Booking Fee:
$20 per crew member, per production

Lead Crew:
$10/hour

Running Crew:
$8/hour

A $100.00 deposit is required in order to reserve dates for all design and educational services, with the balance due upon completion of the job. Draws may be required for an extended service.

All design and educational services are performed by The Light Lady, Elizabeth Rand, or by a contracted professional lighting designer.
